Digital Silver Imaging provides fine art printing services for the world’s  leading photographers, galleries, museums, and all people passionate about the photographic print. We pride ourselves on our quality, attention to detail and customer service. We are passionate about not just printing for our customers but collaborating with them.

Black & White Prints – We are the creators of the DSI Digital Silver Print®, real silver gelatin, black & white prints, on a true baryta fiber paper or a water resistant resin coated base. DSI Digital Silver Prints© are made from the fusion of modern digital technology and traditional chemical printing. We use a Lightjet 430 photographic laser printer to expose light sensitive Ilford silver gelatin paper then process the exposed paper in black & white photo chemistry. DSI Digital Silver Prints®, fiber and RC, have a completely neutral image tone, without color cast, and proven archival superiority. Simply the best fine art black & white print available from a digital file.

Color Prints – Our Museum Quality pigment prints are unsurpassed. Consistent monitoring, custom paper profiles, and an artist’s eye for perfection has made Digital Silver Imaging a Hahnemühle Certified Studio, Canson Certified Lab and a Certified Ilford Partner.

Creating a Successful Kickstarter (Crowd Sourced) Campaign

During this webinar three very successful photo-related Kickstarter campaigns will be reviewed. It takes more than a good idea and a little luck to reach your goal, it takes a knowledge of the crowd funding process. In this presentation, Lou Jones, Barry Schneier and Digital Silver Imaging will tell you the elements that made their campaigns a success. If you are considering a crowd sourcing campaign, have run your own, or are just curious about the process we invite you to attend.

Barry Schneier raised $109,000 for his Kickstarter project, making his photo book Kickstarter one of the most successful ever. Barry is a photographer and writer who began his career in the 1970s working with up and coming as well as established musicians in Boston, San Francisco and later in Los Angeles. It was there that he became immersed in the world of video and film production working on features, commercials, documentaries and eventually migrating over to the “new” genre of the era; the music video. Barry’s work has been exhibited in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, The Grammy Museum and is housed in permanent collections at Paramount Studios, CBS, MTV, The New England Folk Archives, The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music, Morrison Hotel Gallery, and Proud Gallery in London. His work has appeared in numerous books, publications and on album art. Barry is most noted for his work capturing a young Bruce Springsteen at The Harvard Square Theatre in 1974. Website

Lou Jones has run 2 successful Kickstarter campaigns, his first raised $27,000 to support travel to Africa, his second campaign raised $42,000 for a companion photo book.Jones’ eclectic career has evolved from commercial to the personal. It has spanned every format, film type, artistic movement and technological change. He maintains a studio in Boston, Massachusetts and has photographed for Fortune 500 corporations, international companies and local small businesses including Federal Express, Nike and the Barr Foundation; completed assignments for magazines and publishers all over the world such as Time/Life, National Geographic and Paris Match; initiated long term projects on the civil wars in Central America, death row, Olympics Games and pregnancy; and published multiple books. Website
